The Plan - As a church over a short and determined "season" to focus our time and energy on "affirming" God's intentions for us and determining how best to pursue His desires for us as a church family.

Purpose:
As a local church we will evaluate and affirm our core values and discuss the practical implications of our values and decide how we may (at this time in 2004 going into 2005) put our values into practical applications.

Strategy:
As a church we will over the next seven (non-holiday) weeks survey our "Core Values" (as expressed in the published "Core Values" statement). To maximize our effectiveness we will employ a team approach that will incorporate the Sunday morning service and daily devotional readings with prayer. It is requested that everyone commit in participating in this strategic and important endeavor. We will agree to plan to attend the meetings, do the devotions and pray as individuals for the corporate good of this local body of believers and those God desires us to reach. And according to each persons call and ability participate as a "small team" member.

Individually we will begin each week with daily devotionals. These devotionals will consist of selected scriptures concerning the topic for the coming Sunday. Team members will write and publish these daily devotionals and distribute them the Sunday before the devotions is to begin. The devotionals will focus on the selected topic of the week. Each devotion will consist of a scripture passage, a statement concerning the "truth" we want to convey; and possibly add a thought for consideration.

The team for each week will consist of the speaker for Sunday and two 'Bridge' servants with an interest and/or gifting concerning the topic of the week. Prior to their prescribed week the team will meet to discuss the topic and select the scriptures concerning the topic, write the daily devotions for the week and prepare for the discussion time during the service and pray for God's blessing on our endeavor. One of the servant team members will lead the group discussion on the coming Sunday meeting.

The Sunday service will be a time to "affirm" our values as confirmed by the scriptures, devotions and prayers of the week. We will discuss possible practical applications during our discussion time. The order of the Sunday service will be a short message (20-25 minutes), a discussion period regarding the topic (20-25minutes), and a time of song focusing (when possible) on the topic. We will begin at 10:30 and close the service by noon.
